Lounging on the couch, Remy's eyes, hidden behind dark sunglasses, were glued to the large television as he watched the news. More mutants were disappearing, and it was suspected that Sinister was behind it. How Remy loathed the man, but it wasn't the right time to go fight him. No, the students still had a lot of training to get through, and the X-Men had not fully returned, if they ever would. Rumors were that Wolverine was never returning, not that Remy blamed the man.
Holding a deck of playing cards, Remy shuffled them back and forth between his hands, charging and uncharging them as he did so. Things around the mansion were quiet, but they had been quiet the whole time he had been back. Remy figured that it had to do with the new registration act, scaring mutants into not using their powers. But this was private property, and Remy wouldn't be scared into hiding himself anymore then he naturally had to do with his eyes. Shaking his head in distaste towards the reporter commenting on the trouble with mutants, Remy turned the TV off, opting instead to move to the pool table.
Setting up for a game of pool, Remy grabbed a cue stick and covered the tip in fresh, blue chalk before bending over the table to line up a shot. It had been a long time since the Cajun had played pool, and he almost felt as if he was a little rusty. Taking the shot, Remy slammed the cue ball against the other balls and watched them split in every direction, the 8 ball falling into a pocket. Nope, all those years away from the green table had not made him rusty in the least.

Thoughts. Just endless thoughts whirled in Kai's head as he walked around to where the lounge was. Ever since he had met Orca Kai had been able to think of little else. He kept thinking about the horrible situation that the girl was in. Having to please men who were probably twenty years older than her. Plus, she seemed different to the other women there. It was like she was a tigress trapped in a cage and she couldn't get out.
A sigh escaped his lips as his jeans made a noise whenever he moved his legs. Troublesome but he couldn't find any jeans that were silent enough. He'd have to buy some new jeans soon. When he did finally find the lounge he smiled to Remy. Remy was one of the Squad Leaders. Jean Grey was his but he never seemed to be able to find her. The problem kept coming back like an annoying bug. He had to tell someone, even if it was Remy here.
"Erm, Mr LeBeau, I need to tell you something and I'm worried that it might escalate if I don't do something about it," said Kai after a while.

Students roamed the mansion throughout the day, probably going to their classes, though Remy didn't keep track that much. Though he knew when the boy entered, even with his back to the doorway. The sound of his jeans and footsteps tipped him off, though this was the lounge, it was open for everyone. In the process of setting up another practice game, Remy had just placed the cue ball when the younger boy spoke to him. Mr LeBeau? The boy surely hadn't been told much about Remy, other then the obvious that Remy was a squad leader. He was still meaning to march into Cyc's office and demand that be changed, he was no role model, but this seemed to be Cyc's personal punishment for Remy for their past relationship.
And so it started, the boy's problem. It was like he was a counselor or something. "What'd ya do? Get someone pregnant?" What other problem could a teenage boy have that he would come to Remy of all people to tell? Re-chalking the cue stick, Remy bent over the table again as he sent the white ball crashing into the other balls, once more sinking the 8 ball on the break. Remy also did love his parlor games. Spinning the cue stick expertly in his hand, Remy once more retrieved the balls and placed them back into proper order, hanging up the cue stick for another to come along and play.

Kai shook his head. He had to tell someone and since he knew the others would be against it, Remy seemed to be the best bet.
"Well, three nights ago, it was pouring and so I decided to go inside 'til it stopped. I didn't realise where I'd gone 'til afterwards. Anyway, there were pole dancers as there would be in that sort of place. There was an older girl, dark-skinned and dark-blue, almost purple hair. I want to get her out but I don't know how," said Kai. The girl wasn't like the other girls, she was different.
He wondered what Remy would say to that.

Jubilee walked through into the main lounge area just in time to witness, Remy (also known as, Gambit) sink the shot he made. She’d known, Remy for almost three years now. He was like an older brother to her, always trying to look after her when she needed him. She wasn’t exactly good at avoiding trouble. It always seemed to catch up with her wherever she may be… Luckily, she was surrounded by good people.
Jubilee was wearing a plain, pink t-shirt as well as short, blue shorts - which were too short. Her hair was neatly swept over to one side and her eyes clearly stood out, thanks to the lashing of mascara she had on. Jubilee doesn’t usually wear any make-up apart from mascara, but her clear complexion indicates that.
Another student walked in… She didn’t know him very well, but had seen him around. He wanted to speak with, Remy about something, but she had no idea what. Eyeing the pair, she monitored them as she made her way over to the sofa. “If you guys wan’ me to leave…you only need to ask,” she said over them.. She plonked herself on the sofa and curled her legs up too. Adjusting her t-shirt, she said, “Are these morons ever goin’ to give up!?” She was talking about the news on the TV, but after hearing a little under thirty seconds, she swiped up the remote and hit the off switch. “Jerks,” she finished.

Ready to pull his deck of cards back out again and play with them, Remy stopped as he heard the boy's words. A strip club? Students had certainly gotten much more interesting since he had been in France. Before he could respond to the boy, Jubilee interrupted, always the impatient one. "Bonjour petite." His usual greeting for the younger girl, Remy was fond of her. He often flirted harmlessly with her, when Wolverine wasn't around, but this wasn't the time at the moment.
"So ya went t' a strip club. I don' see de problem, in fact, I t'ink ya should have jus' kept it a secret an' been happy. Not everyone wants t' work dere, but dey got bills ta pay, mouths t' feed, all dat stuff. It's a fact o' life, not always a pretty one, but a fact none de less."
Kids these days, doing something against the rules and then telling on themselves. What was the world coming to? Honestly, Remy would have just kept his mouth shut and gone and bragged to all his friends about it. Well, if he lived in New York. Seeing naked women in New Orleans wasn't a big deal, considering Mardi Gras.
"I'm assumin' deres more?" Folding his arms across his chest, Remy leaned against the pool table and watched the boy.

Kai was shocked. Here was a teacher telling him that it was alright to do that sort of stuff. Wasn't he meant to tell Kai off for doing that? Wow, this was different to what he had anticipated. But sometimes, things didn't go according to plan. He tried to compose himself and eventually, he did.
"Hello, aren't you meant to tell me off?" said Kai, shock evident in his voice. "Never mind! Anyway, I was wondering if you could help me bust her out, since I don't think she's doing it off of her own back. I think she's being brainwashed."
Kai quickly looked to Jubilee and then back on Remy. He needed the teacher to say yes.

Jubilee skimmed the front pages of some magazines laid out on top of the wooden table in front of her. She was so bored… Some other students drifted in and out, some she knew and some she didn’t. Jubilee was in a trance just staring straight ahead at nothing in particular. She’d had a few of these days recently, but it couldn’t be helped. Everyone around her was now more cautious than ever when it came to exposing their abilities. Genosha, was starting to sound tempting all of a sudden, but the madman had complete control there. She wasn’t going to bow down to him if he was the last man standing.
Breaking from her chain of thought, Jubilee listened faintly to the conversation going on behind her. Her facial expression shifted numerous times throughout the conversation, until she quickly turned around “Did I hear someone say, bust out?” she asked with a sly smirk. Jubilee jumped up off of the sofa and started towards, Kai. “Hey, I’m Jubilee, but just call me, Jub.” she said reaching out her hand to allow him to take hers.

The kid came to him for help, then didn't like Remy's answer. This wasn't going to be a simple day, Remy could tell that now. "Dat what ya want me t' do? My position here is...complicated. I ain't like Cyc an' de rest." Remy was more like the guy you'd love to have as a big brother then a teacher, but he wasn't going to fight Scott on it, not right now at least. There were so many more important things to deal with then being a mentor, even if Remy did find it a horrible punishment, and was planning to tell Scott off.
"What makes ya t'ink dat?" Slipping a single card from his coat without unfolding his arms, Remy nimbly flipped it through his fingers, charging and uncharging it as he did so. Until Jubilee jumped up and entered the conversation. "Don' ya have homework o' somet'in' petite? I know Beast loves t' give out extra homework, bet he didn't suddenly fo'get ya when he assigned de rest o' de team."

Kai chuckled when the girl came over. It was interesting how kids were ready for some action but when it came to homework they always managed to make some excuse as to why they couldn't do it. He shook the hand.
"I'm Kai but Ghost will work too. Also, Furby works too. Don't ask me why I'm called that. Anyway, please Mr LeBeau, I really need your help. I want to help this girl," said Kai. "Up for some fun, Jubilee?" Although Kai knew the answer to that question already by the way she had come at the mere mention of the words bust out. Kai reeled in the knowledge that there were so many mutants from other countries and backgrounds and that was something that he'd have to get used to.
He looked to Remy again. "I don't give up easily sir," he said with a determined look.

Jubilee smiled as, Kai grasped the palm of her hand and shook. It was always nice meeting new people, especially when you had no idea they existed. Jubilee thought it was kinda strange that she was still introducing herself to people after living there for over two years. Especially when these people were living under the same roof as her.
Smiling,, Jubilee said, “Yeah… You know me…ready for anything.” She rested one hand against the snooker table and listened as the two of them talked and discussed what their next plan of action was. The uneventful day was actually turning out to be quite the opposite.

Again with the Mr. LeBeau, and now sir? "Remy, de name's Remy, o' Gambit if ya prefer." Back and forth the card moved along Remy's knuckles as he argued his point, and Jubilee tried to tag along. "Tell ya what, tell me where de place is an' I'll go have a look myself." Going to a strip club, wouldn't go over well with any of the other X-Men, but that wasn't Remy's concern. He was always the wild card of the bunch.
"Again, petite, ain't ya got somet'in' else ta be doin'?" She was an amateur thief who talked like she was one of the big guys, but Remy didn't buy it. Watching the two begin to plan out their next move in their heads, Remy knew this wouldn't be a good night. He couldn't make the two stay away from the place, but he wasn't going to let them get into trouble either.

Kai ignored the comment from Jubilee and instead focussed on Remy. No way was he going to let Remy go in there alone. Granted that he may be able to handle things himself but considering that he had met the woman it seemed only natural that he should go too. Jubilee should come since she was a girl and that may help the girl in some way.
"Na-uh, Gambit. Ain't gonna happen. I'm coming whether you like it or not. Jubilee should come too, since she's a girl and seeing a girl may help calm her down. Either way, you're not going alone," said Kai bluntly. He looked to Gambit, giving him the same determined look as before. Kai wasn't about to give up. He just sat there, arms folded, staring at Remy.
Hopefully he'd give in.

Kenta walked in, tossing a small back between his hands, smiling, as usual. Looking around the room, the blatant emotions and the slight tension caused him to change his smile to a rather awkward one.
"Things seem a little serious here... I'll go sit over there..." Kenta backed away, creeping across the room to an armchair to the side, to watch whatever was going on. Although he didn't like to be involved with serious things he never minded watching them. It's like watching TV except its a bit cooler because it's actually real.
He took a small seed from the small bag and started to roll it between his fingers. A slightly distressed student, an annoyed teacher and some other girl who Kenta hadn't seen before. Should be fun.

Jub sat up and agreed with, Kai. “I totally agree!” we sould tag along. Jubilee was beginning to get annoyed by the wavering. “It’s so borin’ here…please let us come, Gambit,” she continued. Looking to the entrance another student entered. It was beginning to get a little crowded in here, and Jub just wanted someone to make a decision.
She waited and waited and began messing around with her phone. Scrolling up and down through the numerous contacts she had. Most of them lived here at the school, but some were old friend from her days at the orphanage. She had some fond memories, but the bad out-weighed the good in this case. Shoving her phone into her pocket, she said, “Are we goin’ or not guys?”
