There was a part of Ash's mind that told her to just turn into a wolf and travel that way, but with the transformation there was always a price; whenever she did it, her clothes got completely torn to shreds and thus became unusable, never to be worn again. It was okay when she was on her own, because she could simply go steal some new ones, and then run away with them to a secluded area where she could change back and then get dressed without the risk of being seen completely in the nude.
She wasn't alone now, however, so it was pointless doing that, unless she didn't mind a whole school seeing her without clothes. And it wasn't like she could talk in her wolf form either, so travelling like that wouldn't be too much fun. Besides she liked to run - in human and wolf form - and she was currently in the presece of a rather good looking, and in her opinion, admirable male. She wanted to watch what he could do, but in return she wanted to feel like there was atleast one person in the world who understood her.
And in a way, she felt like Remy was that person.
Not once had he treated her like she was some type of animal, or a tool to be used. Sure he'd basically interogated her, but then who could blame him? She came from a government organisation that trained mutants to kill other mutants ... And experiment on them. If their places were swapped, she was quite certain she wouldn't trust the other person, and with good reason. Ash had killed before to - Killed innocent people, and every day she felt guilty about it.
However there was no turning back now. She was going to a place where she could sleep in a warm comfy bed, where she could have real, unstolen food and where she might possibly be able to bathe, for while she had washed and swam in any lakes that she coul find, it didn't exactly do the trick the way she wanted to - she didn't have real shampoo for instance, and her wings had gotten groggy from where she couldn't reach parts of them to clean them - back at Weapon X, they had done that for her.
She watched Remy take off, and her mis-coloured orbs watched him, awe inspired, though her feelings only showed in her eyes, and only for a split second. Soon enough she was back to having that rather blank look upon her face. Truly she longed for someoe to share her inner self with, and actually feel comfortable around. She had yet to find that person, but she strangely ... Trusted Gambit. He gambled, lied, cheated probably, she thought was possible, and overall he didn't seem like the nicest nice guy out there, but he was one of the good guys. She knew that for sure. And she felt a connection with him, though she wasn't sure what it was.
A moment later she took off after him, her body moving in a fluid motion as she basically pounced after the male. Her movements, along with their fluidity, were feral, animalistic, and extremely fast. She had always prided herself in her speed and flexibility. She was nimble and quick to act - traits which had saved her butt on many occassions before, and probably would continue to do so in the future aswell.
She leapt over the gaps between the rooftops and when she came across the larger one which Remy had used his bo staff to help get him over, she paused, looked down, and then focused her gaze back on Remy. She tilted her head on his offer of help and raised a brow, clearly not needing it. A moment later she bet she took a few steps back, and then took a running leap, kicking off with her feet at the edge of the ledge. She flew through the air with all the grace of a pack leader, and landed in a kneeling position beside Remy, looking up at him. One hand was placed on the ground infront of her, keeping her still.
After a mere moment she rose with no problem and a glint of a grin crossed her lips. "I told you I can keep up ... And that's without your help, but thankyou for the offer." Actually she enjoyed running, and jumping, and she was a lot like Sabertooth in the way she climbed and moved, though she was more graceful about it at all times.

Just watching as Ash followed, Remy could see more and more Weapon X in her. Or did he see it because he knew they were responsible for her? He wasn't a philosopher, and wasn't going to mentally debate it, he saw it, simply put. Or maybe it was simply his past with Sabretooth. Remy had spent so many years around Wolverine, but it was Sabretooth he saw in the girl. However, his judgment was usually pretty good, if not, Remy didn't even want to think of the future consequences.
Every bit of her seemed to be made to be an animal. That was why she reminded him so much of Sabretooth, they moved in the very same ways. Swallowing his hatred of Sabretooth, Remy was impressed at first when she made the longer jump, though it died down as he realized that she moved like an animal, and he could only move like a human. As much as Remy felt like a godly mutant with his rather useful, but dangerous powers, he was only a man, only mortal.
"So I see. Good, because I hate going back for people." Retracting his staff, Remy put it back into his belt as he turned, taking off at a run once more. But this time, Remy wasn't trying to land on the next rooftop. Instead, he grabbed the gutter's downspout, sliding down it, the steel toes of his boots on either side, pressing into the brick wall to keep his pace steady and controlled.
Once on the ground, Remy waited a few seconds before rounding the corner and out of the little alley he had landed in. It opened up to a small parking lot where Remy had left his car. It was his favorite, those were still back in France, instead, Remy had bought the car earlier that day. He didn't plan to stay long enough to bring all his vehicles back over to the states.
Walking towards the black Lotus Exige, Remy pressed the alarm button as he withdrew the keys from his pocket, unlocking the car. Walking to the passenger side, Remy opened the door as he waited for Ash to catch up, not far behind him.
Around him, he watched again as the nightlife of New York clearly was nothing like Remy had remembered before leaving. Not with the hulking robots that called themselves sentinels, the mutant police. That's really all they were, police to keep mutants in line. As if Remy didn't already dislike police from his life of crime, now they had made police that actually took some effort to take down. He could do it, and do it well of course, but he didn't like it one bit. Remy couldn't wait for Mister Sinister's defeat, so he could return to France where he was a free man.

The female liked to feel free, and she had felt wonderful since having left Weapon X. She didn't know if there were any of them left, or if they were coming after her or what, but the thought of that made her feel on edge at all times. She had been one of the most prized posessions, atleast by some, though it wasn't because she was a complete success; but because she had been born there, and her mother had been a scientist. They had treated her like their very own pet, like she had been something to do whatever she was told ...
She hadn't ofcourse, but the fact still remained that they had tried. She'd been made to wear collars before aswell - ones that had electricity surging through them so whenever she put a foot out of line, they could just shock her and punish her for whatever she'd done wrong. She hadn't been born an animal, but they'd made her into one, and there was no going back. They'd implanted so many fears into her aswell - fears of gettng close to people mainly, incase they hurt her, like so many had in the past.
She couldn't help but think of such things, and though she tried hard on a daily basis to forget, she just couldn't. Weapon X had been a large part of her life; not a part that she liked or enjoyed, but she'd only been free of them for under a year, and it wasn't easy trying to just forget about it all. The faces of those she had killed haunted her, and so long as they did, she would never be able to move on. Never be able to get past what her life had been like before she had escaped it.
The female snapped back to reality at the sound of Remy's smooth voice and she nodded, that slight animalistic grin still apparant across her features. She had hated going back for people when she was still working for Weapon X. She'd been a sort of team leader back then, and led a small group of mutants, but there were always human troops involved to and they were often the ones she'd had to go back and rescue. Missions like that had always been the ones that had gotten her hurt, because she'd had to risk her life saving them, or she'd been caught temporarily by her enemies.
Her hal blind gaze followed as the male as he shot off again and she had no problem keeping up. She was right behind him when he dropped down the alleyway, using the gutter for support, though the female used another method. She clean dropped off the ledge and released her claws, digging them in the side as she flew down, slowing the process and pull of gravity, and she was a few feet above ground she released herself from the wall and landed in a slight crouch, though quickly rose.
Her claws retracted and she followed Remy to his car. She came to a halt as he opened the door and she stared at the vehicle for a few moments before she clambered inside, and sat akwardly up in the seat. She'd never been in a car before; she'd been in choppers, vans and drove motorbikes, but she'd never sat in a car like this before, so it was a new experience for her and she wasn't sure what to expect.
She glanced arounf again and located the seatbelt, gingerly pulling at it and attempting to plug it in securely to the base, but was having a few problems with it; like the fact she had the belt twisted and the metal bit was facing the wrong way. A frustrated glint crossed her eyes and she kept attempting to do it, finally giving it when the stupid thing had worn her patience thin. She took a deep breath and exhaled. "Nice car ..." She murmured, and it was hard to tell if she was being sarcastic or not.

Nothing about that night and Ashley had been normal, so why not watch her stand there, staring at the car first before getting in? After all the sniffing of his coat and such, he really wasn't that surprised anymore. Shrugging a bit as he closed her door, Remy made his way around to the other side. How bad could the rest of the night be? Remy was curious as he himself got into the car, right beside a trained killing mutant, and one who had only been out of a job for a short time. Crazy? He most likely was, though figured that no woman could ever be more vengeful then the woman he married all those years ago.
The soft leather seats felt good to sit in, relaxing all his muscles even more after the nice stretch from the rooftops. Putting the key into the ignition, Remy turned it as the engine to roared to life, a sound he never got tired of hearing. Grasping the sleek metal knob of the gear stick, shifting it into first as Remy drove the car out of the parking lot. The main streets at night were thankfully less crowded then during the day, though Remy usually had little trouble navigating through the city.
Once on the streets, Remy very quickly shifted through the gears up to sixth. He weaved through traffic expertly, often times just making it through the light. He took the corners sharply, though very smoothly, knowing that's what the car was designed for.
Outside, the streets were dark with the exception of strategically placed street lamps, but inside was lit by a soft blue glow from the dash board. For the most part, Remy didn't really speak, which was quite odd for him. What kind of conversation could a thief and an assassin really have anyway? Compare each other's criminal record and see whose was longer? Remy already knew it was his, as he was a decade older then her.
"De guy who runs de school, he's kind o' a prick. Try not t' piss him off, but if ya do, it don' matter. He don' have de balls t' kick anyone out who wants o' needs t' be dere." That meeting would actually be quite enjoyable for Remy. For the faintest of moments, the thought crossed his mind to call Scott and tell him, but Remy liked surprising him far too much. Seeing that shocked look, the anger clearly hidden beneath it. It was just beautiful to Remy. Even after three years apart, he still delighted in it.
It wasn't long before New York City was behind them, leaving them relatively vacant streets to drive on, and Remy fully took the opportunity. Pushing the car to it's limits, it handled perfectly under Remy's control, as all vehicles did. One of the many perks of being brought up in a very wealthy family, every kind of toy was at his disposal.
The drive to Westchester wasn't ungodly long, though it was long enough that Remy always got impatient. No matter what, he never seemed to be able to drive fast enough and get there quickly. Or maybe it was just his perception of 'fast' was a bit skewed. At the same time, Remy liked having something to do. While he loved driving, driving on long stretches of freeway just wasn't the same as driving through traffic. Darting in and out of clusters of other vehicles, knowing that a second too late and there would be a big problem, it was exciting.
Once in Westchester, however, Remy's thoughts were briefly pulled back to his destination, but only for a second. He had driven between the city and the institute so many times that three years away and his body still knew exactly where to go, the car complying every step of the way. Until the large mansion finally appeared in the distance, outside lights completely lit up, and a few top room lights. Much of the staff stayed up late, though a couple of students seemed to be awake as well, breaking curfew rules.
Easing the car up to the large iron gates, Remy rolled the window down and leaned out, entering in the keycode that unlocked the massive gates. Driving up, Remy turned off the regular path which led to the large circle driveway, instead heading towards the garage, parking on the faculty side. "Like what ya see so far?"
Killing the engine, Remy pulled the key out and simultaneously opened his door, stepping out. Shutting the door, he walked around to open Ashley's door. "Students are supposed t' be asleep, so try t' be quiet."

Honestly, Ash was rather afraid of small spaces. Being in a car was slightly different to being locked in a cage, but the fear was still present and she didn't like it. It was a horrible feeling, and one of the ones why she had been staying out in the open lately, sleeping in the parks or amongst the trees. Just anywhere that wasn't surrounded completely by walls, by which there was no escape. Her days in Weapon X were which caused this, and even after a year of being apart from them, it hadn;t left her.
Speaking of which, there was another reason she was afraid. That headache of hers had come on so suddenly, and the clicking sound hadn't been right - it was like there were something inside her head, something which shouldn't be there. She was inwardly afraid because she had no idea what it might do to her, and the female had an anger problem. A mere headache could cause her to go on a rage, and it happened often. A lot of the time there was no-one around to suffer through it, but she was heading to a school full of kids, so what was she to do then?
She let her gaze watch out the window as Remy drove through the lighted streets and her blind eye throbbed inside her head, for the light usually hurt it, even now, after all these years of being half blind. It was her main weakness, most likely. The fact that half her vision was obscured made the female feel inadequete most of the time and had given the idiots back at Weapon X reason to insult her - though it had been their scientists who had blinded her in the first place, so what right did they have?
None.
The female remained silent, like Remy, though most of the journey. She liked the quiet and the peace that it brought and honestly didn't mind just sitting there in silence. It was rather relaxing in a sense, and she'd spent so much time alone before, with no company, that it no longer mattered to her. She could deal with it, she was quite sure of that. And then Remy finally did speak, and she was drawn to his smooth voice and his handsome face, tearing her eyes away from the passing streets and to the male beside her.
"That's alright, I've dealt with people like him before, I'm sure." She informed him, her voice monotone. There was more truth in her words than could have been first said. 'Dealt' meaning that shhe'd either hurt the prick who'd talked down to her, or had just been an idiot, or she'd killed them ... It was obvious she planned to do no such thing here, but it was also true that she needed help with her anger. She needed help to stop those murderous urges that still threatened to claim her mind.
As they drove on, she cast her gaze out of the window again and when they finally reached the school, Ashley-Raine stared out of the widow towards it, shifting in her seat, for her wings had become squished and uncomfortable. Though her face remained almost the same as before, her eyes showed her true feelings; that place was damn huge! It was amazing, and in a way it was the complete opposite to the Weapon X facility - it was nicer looking, open, there were gates to keep people safe, not to lock them in.
It was such a big change.
She waited until the male parked the car and opened her door, however before she spoke, and as she gracefully rose from her seat, emerging from the car, she turned her head to look at him, and eyebrow raised. "I'm quite impressed, but I have a feeling that you were wrong. I'm definately going to come across a lot of people in there." Like however many students there were. She shook her head slightly and walked forwards towards the mansion, still eyeing it with admiration.
