The possibilities are endless when it comes to selecting powers for your (non-canon) mutant. Yes, the whole list seems rather intimidating. So each power has been classified into similar categories: mental powers, physical powers, and blast powers, although all three categories tend to be interconnected. You do not need to choose all four or five of your character's powers from one category.
**When choosing elemental powers, please choose from the following elements, as most elemental powers revolve around only one element:
Fire
Earth
Air
Water
Mental Powers:
Telepathy = Mental communication.
Telekinetic = The ability to move objects using ones mind.
Genius = The ability to understand anything and retain that knowledge. This can be in one field only or in many different kinds. This power is about information only.
Teleport = The ability to transfer oneself to a different area. Some can go by memory and others only by sight.
Psi Weapons = The ability to create weapons that cause harm mentally and not physically. These weapons are normally limited to blunt objects or objects such as swords.
Fire Control = The ability to control fire around oneself. This ability does not allow a person to create fire.
Water Control = The ability to control water around oneself. This ability does not allow a person to create water.
Earth Control = The ability to control rock/stone around oneself. This ability does not allow a person to create stone/soil/earth/etc.
Air Control = The ability to control the air around oneself. This ability does not allow a person to create air, such as air bubbles under water.
Electricity Control = The ability to control electricity around oneself. This ability does not allow a person to create electricity.
Nature Control = The ability to control nature around oneself. This power does not allow a person to create nature.
Pyrokinesis = The ability to create fire by overheating molecules in the air.
Hydrokinesis = The ability to create water by mentally adding extra water molecules to other atoms.
Geokinesis = The ability to harden molecules until they same to become a rock type substance.
Aerokinesis = Creating extra air molecules.
Electrokinesis = Mentally causing a spark within other molecules.
Naturkinesis = The ability to create plant life.
Matter Control = The ability to will things to do as you want. Does not include living tissue.
Weather Control = The ability to manipulate the weather.
Time Slip = The ability to stop time in the molecules of the persons own body, appearing to slip out of existence. Normally limited to a short amount of time.
Magnetism = The ability to manipulate the magnetic polarity around oneself.
Phase = Causing ones molecules to shift out. Electronic devices tend to have a problem is phased through them.
Multiply Self = Causing a complete double to be created through physical contact. Doubles can be limited to a certain amount. The doubles are nothing but drones for the original to control.
Creature Shift = Absorbing energy from another to physically change into a creature. Normally limited to some kind of anthromorphic look, and to one kind of animal only.
Mental Time Bombs = The ability to form small balls of energy that explode after a set amount of time. Minor explosions only.
Shadow Shift = The ability to blend with shadows.
Mental Healing = The ability to use ones mind to give a psionic diagnosis and to do surgery.
Combat Skill = The ability to learn fighting skills quickly. Must be learned through reading or watching someone else.
Astral Projection = The ability to transport one's mental (astral) image to another place.
Maxi Sense = One of the 5 senses at an ultimate max. This gives the ability to see, hear, smell, touch and taste things that might have been from a past life or spirits.
Vertigo = Waves of pure confusion. Often makes the person using the power sick too.
Speak to Animals = The ability to speak to and understand animals. Sometimes this is limited to only one species of animal, or to only intelligent forms (dogs, wolves, felines, etc)
Containment Field = Able to project a barrier between the persons body and everything around them. This can be an automatic defense at times.
Hypnotize = Able to control another through eye contact. Usually for a limited amount of time.
Pipedream = The ability to put someone into a dreamy type of state.
Momentum Build = The ability to make an objects speed increase without touching it. Cannot be used on living tissue.
Hyper-Keen Senses = Senses are enhanced beyond normal human.
Psionic Detection = The ability to sense other psionics.
Psionic Channeling = Able to transfer psi energy into a physical weapon causing it to do mental harm.
Language Skill = The ability to learn and understand even the most complex languages in a short time.
Psi Vampire = A person that feeds from psionic energy. The energy makes them stronger or often they need it to survive.
Weapon Skill = The ability to learn how to use weapons through watching others. Basic hand-to-hand weapons are easier to learn.
Aura Detection = The ability to tell someone’s true nature through their aura.
Empathy = The ability to understand other peoples emotions.
Amp Factor = Using mathematical equations to get out of tight situations.
Flight = Becomes weightless out of pure will.
Physical Powers:
Enhanced Agility = All tendons seem to be super reactive towards movement.
Enhanced Strength = All muscles seem to have maximum tension to them, making the person seem stronger to everyone else.
Enhanced Stamina = Adrenaline levels are well above normal, letting the person do things for a longer amount of time.
Enhanced Hearing = Ears have an extra membrane that coats the ear drum, this membrane is so sensitive it may even be able to pick up on sonar.
Enhanced Smell = Nose is extra sensitive to every smell.
Enhanced Sight = Eyes are more sensitive to everything, giving a type of eagle sight.
Healing Factor = The ability to heal minor cuts quickly, imune system is higher.
Change into Metal = Able to change to top layer of skin into an organic type metal.
Animal Metamorphasis = The ability to change one's entire physical form to something inhuman. This is normally limited to one kind of animal.
Elemental Metamorphasis = The ability to shift into an element. This is normally limited to one kind of element.
Wings = Objects protruding out of the back, giving the ability to fly. Wings can look like anything, leathery like a bat's, or feathers like a bird.
Claws = Razor Sharp Claws. Fingernails or otherwise.
Animal Features = Animalistic features.
Intangibility = Able to separate the molecules in one's body or to an object, giving the ability to pass through.
Cybernetic parts or Implants = Various cybernetic parts are fused to the body.
Tenticals = Elongated, whip-like protrusions from a certain part of the body.
Life Force Absorbtion = The ability to absorb someone's essence through physical touch.
Sealed Systems = Lungs are coated with a extra membrane which allows them to sustain large amounts of pressure.
Invulnerability = Nerve endings can withstand more pressure causing the person to feel less physically and be able to withstand more physical impact.
Invisibility = The ability to refract light from one's body appearing invisible. Able to turn other people invisible, no more then doubles one's mass.
X-ray Vision = Able to see through objects. Unable to see through lead or other alloys with those properties.
Night Vision = Eyes refract light to that more of a normal human.
Poison Touch = Fingertips secrete a type of toxin.
Matter Melding = Molecules can separate and pass into another object until the two become nearly one.
Size Change = Able to send an intense wave through the body causing it to grow in size.
Husking = Able to shed extra layers of skin. Under the shedded layer can be anything from brick to the features of another person. Once the person changes they take on the weight of the new substance.
Extra Skin = Body produces extra feet of skin allowing elongation of extremities.
Shape-Shift = The ability to change features to look like other people. Often limited to mass.
Webbed Appendages = Fingers and toes appear to be webbed. Makes it easier to swim under water.
Gills = Able to breath under water like a fish.
Poison Quills = Able to project a poisonous quill from ones body.
Suction Fingertips & Toe = Able to grip objects without wrapping a hand around it. Often gives the ability to hold a person's own body weight and maybe even enough to hold a person that is lighter.
Extra Appendages = Having an extra body part. (i.e. a tail)
Bone Displacement = Bones grow at a strange rate, mostly causing them to break through the skin.
Mass Manipulation = Able to control body mass. Often changes the size of the person. More mass tends to make the person heavier, too much will crush them under themselves.
Crystaline Skin/Armor = Body produces a natural, visible body armor.
Demonic Body = Appearance is that of a demon (Fur, pointed ears, tail, etc.)
Monsterous Metamorphasis = Physical features seem frightning for people to look at. Sometimes a person is stuck in this form all the time.
Force Fields = Able to produce an unseen shield. Often and auto-defense.
Hyper Reflexes = Every muscle in the body has an extra tendon that seems to make their movements faster and flow more fluently.
Speed = The muscles in the legs are able to take more pressure and withstand more force per square inch.
Blast Powers:
Kinetic Charge = Sending pure movement into an object until it explodes. Unable to charge living tissue.
Kinetic Blast = A blast of pure movement.
Optic Blast = A blast of pure energy that comes from one's eyes. Color can vary.
Plasma Blast = Able to form a ball of plasma for throwing only.
Full Body Blast = The ability to expell a gathered amount of energy from one's entire body.
Optional Body Blast = Energy is expelled from a certain part of the person's body. Normally the blast is from a persons hands.
Absorb and Recreate Energy = The ability to gather energy from a different object and fire it back. Normally this energy is from another blast or physical contact.
Bio Energy = Energy formed from the natural rythum of a person, then can be concentrated and fired.
Explosion = Causing an object to burst from the inside out. Unable to use this power on living tissue.
Create Time Bombs = Mentally project small bursts of energy on what seem to be timers.
Sound to Light = The ability to change sound wave into light energy.
Sonic Scream = The ability to give off loud waves of sound from ones vocal cords. This can often be used to form a type of flight.
Heat Vision = The ability to give off intense heat from ones eyes.
Pyro Blast = The ability to hold and throw fire as a blast.
Hydro Blast = The ability to hold and throw water as a blast.
Aero Blast = Able to cause a strong blast of wind.
Geo Blast = Able to gather large amounts of rock/ground for a blast.
Electro Blast = Able to gather and fire electricity.
Blast Field generation = Able to create a field a around oneself and push it out as a blast in all directions. While the field is on the person is invulnerable.
Energy Blast = A basic blast of pure energy.
Vibratory Waves = Able to waver the earth's gravitational pull, but only enough to cause a contact disturbance.
Mystic Blast = A blast formed from the mystical energy inside oneself. Often energy such and Chi or Ki is related to this power.
Psyche Arrow = The ability to fire arrow shapes from one's own psyche.
