The bond between Remy and Ororo was impossible to miss, though most probably had no idea why they were such friends. Emma knew though, being a telepath and all. But telepaths knew all the school secrets, and wisely they kept their mouths relatively shut.
"Perfect, the jet will be waiting for you tomorrow. As well as some more modern clothing. It'll be wonderful to have you back Ororo. Feel free to anything on the jet by the way. Food, drinks, whatever."
To a millionaire, it was nothing, though Emma tried hard not to sound too snobbish towards her friends. Those who were not her friends however...they faired much differently. "I'll make sure to tell Scott that you're returning as well, I'm sure he'll be just as pleased. Anyway darling, I was just running out the door when you called, so I will have to talk to you more once you are here. Have a wonderful trip back. Goodbye for now." Hanging up the phone, Emma proceeded to leave the mansion for her shopping trip.

Ororo laughed softly to herself as Remy started to flirt with her yet again. "Always the charmer, eh Remy?" she asked after she stopped laughing. "But I really don't think Rogue would like that a whole lot." she said grinning into the phone's receiver, not knowing that Rogue had left the X-Men.
Ororo smiled as Emma said that the jet would be there tomorrow. "Thank you Emma so much. And I'm sorry to have kept you waiting. I hope I didn't break any opointments you had scheduled." she said apologetically.
"Good-bye Emma," she said befor Emma hung up the phone.

"Only fo' de most belle femmes." It was only a matter of time before someone spoke to him of Rogue, though Remy hadn't thought it would have been in this fashion. He figured that they would slyly ask if he had seen her at all, but how could Ororo know what had become of the Southern Belle? "Kinda hard fo' Rogue t' control anyt'in' when she ain't here. In fact, ya much closer t' her new family, bein' so close t' Genosha an' all."
Remy didn't approve of Rogue's decision to join the Brotherhood, though who was he to say she couldn't do it? He had been gone the past three years of her life, plus had walked on that side of the law his whole life, except that he never hurt anyone in his business. Not on purpose anyway.
"She went t' de Brot'erhood Stormy."

Ororo's smiled quickly faded as Remy told her that Rogue had left them for the Brotherhood. Ororo closed her eyes in frustration, and embarrassment. She felt terrible for bringing it up.
"Oh Remy....I'm so sorry. I didn't know...." she said quietly. She felt absolutely terrible, and you could hear it in her voice. "Oh Remy..." she whispered softly.
Remy didn't deserve that. Rogue and him were supposed to stay happily together. Ororo never thought she would see the day when Rogue would go back over to the Brotherhood.
"Remy...? How do you feel about that?" she asked softly. Obviously Remy wouldn't be happy about Rogue heading off to her former family, but maybe he wasn't upset about their relationship ended.

Ororo always was one of those women who felt empathy towards others in bad or semi-bad situations. She was a giving soul, and truly deserving of her power over nature. Though at the same time, Remy had seen her on her bad days, and prayed that he never made her angry.
"Don' worry 'bout it chere, she's an adult, free t' live her own life." And he had been gone too, broken away from the X-Men the second he could...It had hurt Rogue a lot, but Remy wasn't going to apologize, he had done nothing wrong.
"I don' agree, but what can be done? But dey jus' usin' her Stormy, don' care if she lives o' dies fo' dere 'cause'. It ain't right. Maybe ya can talk some sense inta her when ya get back." That was doubtful though. Mystique had Rogue wrapped around her finger so tightly, it wasn't even funny. But Wolverine could talk to her, he always could.

Ororo nodded and frowned slightly after Remy explained that Rogue was her own woman and that she could make her own decisions. She thought about that information for a second then agreed. "You're right Remy, what can you do?" she said softly.
"I will try and talk to her, but I don't know if it will do any good." she said suggesting that she should speak with Rogue about the current situation.
After a moment of silence Ororo broke it. "So, I guess I'll see you sometime tommorrow Remy?"

"Not'in'. Not'in' at all. But ya know what dat means Stormy, more time t' spend wit' a belle femme like yaself." He couldn't help but lay it on thick, it was as if the charm of Gambit was built into his very genes. "Doubt it will help eit'er, jus' sad t' see some o' de better X-Men go. I mean, if two t'ieves can stay wit' de group, why can't de rest?"
Silence wasn't really Remy's forte, unless he was in the middle of a heist. He just didn't like it, and liked his voice too damn much. "Absolutely. Ya should probably go pack, non? O' say bye t' everyone?"

Ororo giggled a bit as Remy continued flirting with her. Even though she knew it was just his style, Ororo couldn't help but be flattered. When you're living in Africa, pretending to be a goddess, you don't really get to flirt. At all. Ororo nodded. "Yeah. I'm not too sure why Rogue chose to leave when two rebels to society can stay so long."
She nodded again as Remy suggested that she should probably pack, and say good bye. "Okay Remy. Thanks for everything, and I will see you tomorrow when I get in. Bye." she said before hanging up the phone and handing it back to the hotel employee. She left the hotel and headed back to South Africa to say goodbye and get her things.

One thing Remy had learned from his time with the X-Men was that no one could explain Rogue, not even the great mind of Professor Xavier himself. She was a true enigma, even more so then Remy himself, which was hard to top sometimes with all his secrets. "We jus' love t' stick it t' dem Stormy." It almost sounded like childhood friends sometimes, the way the two just clicked, but it was always more complicated then that. Everything was when one was a mutant.
"Oui, ya see me first t'ing off de plane." And then the line went silent. Hanging up on his side, Remy smirked at the thought of Storm returning home. It just didn't feel right without her around. But at the same time, it felt a little odd without the whole group, especially the professor. That was probably the weirdest feeling of all. Shrugging it off, Remy just headed to the kitchen for some food.
